On-Stage Gear Trumpets Three New Mute Models

On-Stage Gear announces the release of three new trumpet mutes: the TCM7520 Straight Mute, the TCM7530 Whisper Mute, and the TCM7420 Wah Wah Mute. All three models are designed to be free blowing, projecting the desired effect without compromising intonation. The TCM series is intended for professional and amateur players alike.

Each model is constructed of high-grade lightweight spun aluminum and features a gasket design made of natural cork for a perfect seal within the instrument’s bell. The TCM7520 Straight Mute measures 3.5” x 6” and utilizes three carefully spaced natural cork gaskets to direct airflow around the mute, resulting in the mellow tone associated with high quality mutes. The TCM7530 Whisper Mute also measures 3.5” x 6”, but features a single full-circumference natural cork gasket, directing airflow through carefully designed holes within the mute. The result is a mellow, whispering tone. Comprised of two pieces, the TCM7420 Wah Wah Mute measures 5.5” x 4”, and produces the classic “wah wah” effect by moving the cup at the end of the mute.
